Cynthia Jamieson
New England Hair Academy

As a single mother of 3 children, one of whom is handicapped, Cynthia Jamieson made a daily two-hour drive from Pepperell to Malden, MA., to attend the New England Hair Academy. Despite a long ride and adverse winter weather, Cynthia attended school every day and evening. Throughout her many hours spent at school, Cynthia always had a warm smile for everyone. She consistently displayed professionalism in the classroom and in the school salon. She never complained about being exhausted with two curriculums to study for and numerous homework assignments. Cynthia maintained a 93 G.P.A. in addition to receiving many awards including student of the month, highest retail sales and clinic services, professionalism, as well as perfect attendance. She was also nominated into the National Vocational and Technical Honor Society. Cynthia is a great role model for her peers and truly an outstanding student. She is employed as a licensed barber at Patriots Barber Shop. Cynthia now holds two professional licenses, and plans to enroll in the Cosmetology program to obtain her third license.
