Ashley Muraco
Merrimack Valley School of Hair Design

MERRIMACK VALLEY SCHOOL OF HAIR DESIGN (MVSHD) selected ASHLEY MURACO, of Haverhill, for an Outstanding Student Achievement Award. Ashley is a beautiful 17-year-old young lady who will be graduating this May from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence where she has maintained a 3.1 GPA. She leaves home every morning at 7:15 a.m. and attends school until 2:00 p.m. After school she goes to the MVSHD and does homework until her Cosmetology course begins at 4:00 p.m. and runs until 9:00 p.m. Ashley has maintained a 4.0 GPA in Cosmetology and completed her Manicuring course at New England Hair Academy last summer. She never missed a day and received 100% on her mock exam. Ashley has nearly completed the 1000 hours required for state certification to become a Cosmetologist. On weekends she works at a local bakery and was recently hired as a Manicurist and Hairdresser Assistant at a salon in Methuen. After graduation, Ashley plans on working as a professional Cosmetologist and Manicurist while pursuing her college degree in business. The director and staff at MVSHD are extremely proud of the consistent effort made by Ashley to perform successfully and with confidence. She has been a positive role model for other students both young and old. Ashley has also led the MVSHD in a Christmas Parade, a Saint Patrick’s Parade and two charitable fund-raising events. We believe Ashley will grow to become a great influence in her community.
