Donna Sullivan
Lowell Academy Hairstyling Institute

The staff at LOWELL ACADEMY HAIRSTYLING INSTITUTE chose 38-year-old DONNA SULLIVAN, of Tyngsboro, for an Outstanding Student Award. Donna enrolled at Lowell Academy in 2002 to pursue her dream of becoming a Cosmetologist and graduated in the summer of 2003. Donna is the mother of 3 beautiful young children and during her training; her husband was injured at work. Much to her despair, she needed to take a leave of absence to help him recuperate. All the while, she was also helping to care for an aging mother-in-law. As soon as she could, Donna returned to school only to be more determined and enthusiastic than before. Donna worked in the retail business the past few years and after her husband’s injury had to take on a lot of double shifts to pay her bills. Donna didn’t let that stop her. She maintained a 95% attendance record and a 94% GPA in school, all while maintaining a loving home. She was always eager to learn, arrived in theory class on time and was present for every demonstration to ensure she got the most of her education. Donna is currently working at Leon’s Beauty Salon in Bedford, Mass., as a Stylist. The staff at Lowell Academy congratulates Donna on her endless efforts and major achievements. Donna has a lot of talent and a great personality that will only guarantee her a most successful career in the beauty industry.
