Gwen Collins
New England School of Whole Health Education

REVEREND GWENDOLYN COLLINS, who resides in Dorchester, is a remarkable woman. In spite of multiple serious pathologies, her desire to learn, grow and share knowledge with others is as large as her heart. Gwen is a loving, generous and brilliant woman who, against much adversity, continues to educate herself so that she may be a light for others around her. She has earned several degrees including Ph.D.'s in Psychology and Sociology while battling several ailments. Hampered by asthma, cancer and heart disease, Gwen has attended the NEW ENGLAND SCHOOL OF WHOLE HEALTH EDUCATION to fulfill her desire to become a Certified Natural Health Educator. During her training, Gwen greatly enhanced the learning environment with her insight, wisdom and sharing. A woman of prayer, faith and determination, Gwen feels it is imperative for physicians and patients alike to be educated in complimentary therapies. According to her, "God left the root and herbs for our health. He gave physicians the knowledge to treat us. We know that prayer and faith bring folks from the jaws of death. I am proof of this!" Even though fighting her own illnesses she continues to help others as she feels this is her mission from God. Loved by both her teachers and students, Gwen is most deserving of an Outstanding Student Achievement Award.
