Patricia Sargent
The Salter School

Patricia Sargent, the daughter of William and Mary Ann Sargent of Oxford, MA., is a Medical Assistant student at The Salter School. Patricia, 39, has been a student in the evening division of the school since September of 2001 and also manages to work full-time in addition to attending school. Pat is a single parent who waited until her son was a senior in high school to continue her education and has maintained Dean's List status for the two years she has been at the Salter School. She obtained financial assistance through a Pell grant and a Stafford loan to help her with tuition costs. Pat is an extremely motivated individual who not only does well in her class work, but also makes herself available to help other students who may be having trouble in their coursework. Pat maintains a friendly relationship with members of the faculty, staff, and student body and has certainly exemplified what an outstanding student should be. She is currently employed at the Fallon Clinic. Not only will Pat be graduating this June, but she has decided to continue her education in the medical field and plans to enter a nursing program this fall (in 2003).
