Marsha Ann Wise
FINE Mortuary College

Marsha-Ann Wise, from Boston, graduated from FINE Mortuary College in August 2002 with an Associate in Applied Science in Funeral Service. While at FINE Mortuary College, Marsha-Ann was a valued tutor for her peers since she did so well in her course work. She also holds a B.A. from Assumption College and an M.A. from Brandeis University. Marsha-Ann was selected by the faculty at FINE as Outstanding Student not only for her academic skills, her helpfulness to other students and her pleasant personality but, because despite obstacles placed in her way, she achieved many of her goals. She sees to full-time care for her elderly mother who, due to illness, has lost both her legs. Much of the care of her mother falls to her but Marsh-Ann never complains. She gave up her apartment and moved in with her mother to ensure she receives the best of care. Marsha-Ann's compassion and understanding of people lead FINE Mortuary College to hire her as an instructor and to be in charge of their Outreach Program. There are few among us who can accomplish as much as she has and simultaneously give so much as a student, teacher and daughter.
